The Watershed Spotlight: Printed Labels

Last week in our Watershed Spotlight we gave you an insight into the Print division of our business, focusing on our Die Cut Lids offerings.

This week is a change of topic and today we are shining the spotlight on a different part of our business. We are discussing a product we manufacture in our Print division; Printed Labels.

After years of supplying Packaging Machinery and manufacturing Packaging Consumables such as Printed Tape, we were looking to expand our business and move into the Label Printing and Printed Film industry. So, in 1998 we acquired a Flexographic printing company in Kent. We then invested in a state of the art MPS UV Flexo Press for our head office in Leeds. At the time, this converted our site into the most advanced printers in the Label industry – what an incredible achievement!

Fun fact: Watershed Packaging is one of the only printing companies still in the UK to offer the bespoke print technology that is Flatbed Colour Matching. Colour Matching Labels are typically used by brands within the paint and cosmetics industry.
