high barrier laminates
We have extensive experience in high barrier, long shelf life laminated Films for direct packing applications. This is predominantly oPP//oPP lamination, with a combination of matte, gloss, silver or white, as required.
Watershed now have capabilities to offer higher barrier Films, combining polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene and nylon as laminates due to investment of our new high-speed Laminator. We can support customers who are looking for improved shelf-life.
strip laminate
Strip Laminate packaging is an economical way to enhance the attractiveness of your product and strengthen your brand image. The high quality laminate film gives a premium feel, highlights your product and your chosen design is prominent on the packaging as a continuous print.
It is mainly used in the Bakery and Sandwich industry for wrapping sub rolls and baguettes.
We hold stocks of certain Kraft papers between 22 and 40 gsm to provide a faster turnaround on strip-laminated materials using our 1.3m wide-web Laminator.

All of our Sachets are suitable for use with form-fill-seal (FFS) machines.
Markets we supply Sachet Laminates for:
Liquids – Alcohol & Water based.
Pastes (e.g. mud masks).
Dried Foods – Gravy’s, Sauces and Mixes.

ovenable film/food 2 go
Ovenable films are created by combining the correct film substrate with our unique pioneering ovenable inks to ensure brilliant & safe performance at high temperatures.
Once we have assessed the food product and the cooking methods and temperatures, we produce printed films to match the application perfectly. These film types are typically produced from recyclable polyester (PET) materials and are used for oven and microwave applications.

In 1998 we acquired a Flexographic printing company in Kent. We invested in a state of the art MPS UV Flexo Press for our head office in Leeds. This converted our site into the most advanced printers in the Label industry – what an achievement!

Kirsty’s son developed allergies and she realised most food brands don’t understand how it feels to protect an allergic child – or how unhelpful the words “may contain” really are.
“No one should live in fear of the food they, or others around them, consume. When you or a loved one has allergies, finding safe snacks can be a challenge, especially if you have more than one to deal with. Many “Free From” products only omit one or two allergens, and are often packed full of fillers which many are allergic to. We think that rather defeats the purpose!””
