The Watershed Spotlight: Die Cut Lids
Last week in our Watershed Spotlight we gave you an insight into the Print division of our business, focusing on our Flexible Packaging offerings.
This week is another change of topic and today we are shining the spotlight on a different part of our business. We are discussing a product we manufacture in our Print division; Die Cut Lids.
We are pioneers in the manufacture and supply of high-quality, high definition Printed Packaging. In 2016 we invested in more market-leading machinery which enabled us to produce Aluminium and Polyester Die Cut Lids for a variety of products.
Printed in up to 10 colours in house, we can offer you the all in one solution as our production facility incorporates a state of the art Design Suite with Plate Making facility, over 8 printing presses and all of the Die Cutting machinery to complete the process.
What type of Die Cut Lids do Watershed Packaging offer?
We produce Aluminium foil and PET material Die Cut Lids. Our Lids are manufactured without the distortion of the customers designs caused by traditional all-over embossing patterns, thus enhancing the print quality and branding.
Our Polyester PET plastic Lids and Aluminium Die Cut Lidding is available in various thicknesses and sealing layers to suit a wide range of applications.
All our Aluminium Die Cut Lids include a total barrier to oxygen and water vapour transmission which allows more flexibility in the sealing process.
Our Polyester Die Cut Lids are available with a heat seal lacquer or co-extruded sealing layer with the ability to metal detect to suit a wide range of substrates.

Our 100% print and surface inspection system, anti-static equipment and web scrap system increase our efficiency and productivity.
A fun fact - all our Die Cut Aluminium Lids are fully recyclable!
Our inline Print Inspection prior to the cutting process gives 100% inspection and automatic removal of any print defects prior to packing, guaranteeing zero defects being delivered to the customer.
Our SMART embosser TM system only embosses the rim of the lid leaving the graphics unaffected.
