This week we are shining the spotlight on our Shrink Sleeve Machinery division and today we will be giving you an insight into our capabilities as a Shrink Sleeve Machine supplier.

Since our formation over 28 years ago, Watershed Packaging has become one of the prominent suppliers of Flexible Printed Packaging, Packaging Machinery and Packaging Consumables. In 2012 we launched our Shrink Sleeves division enabling us to supply Shrink Sleeves Labels worldwide and become a Shrink Sleeve machine manufacturer!

What type of Sleeve Machinery does Watershed Packaging supply?
Our Sleeve machinery enables our clients to apply Sleeves onto a wide range of container shapes and sizes. Our high quality and highly efficient Applicators apply decorative full body Sleeves or alternatively tamper evident Sleeves, onto plastic or glass containers. 

Our compact, versatile, and multipurpose machines are designed to suit our customer’s specifications. Our superior technology in design and construction allow Watershed to offer either linear or rotary models. Our expertise provides maximum visual impact for your product. Our models can be modified depending on output speed and the size and shape of the container to be sleeved.

Shrink Sleeve Applicator
Watershed’s fully automatic range of Shrink Sleeve Applicators enables our clients to apply Shrink Sleeves onto a wide range of container shapes and size. Our running speeds range from as low as 3000 units hourly up to 52,000 units per hour. There are more than 2000 applicators operating worldwide. We have 17 models within our range.

Steam Tunnel
Watershed’s range of Steam Tunnels enables our customers to sleeve the most unique shaped containers. Our superior design and expertise will provide maximum visual impact for your product, apart from our technical developments Watershed works closely with our customers to help create global brands. Our experienced sales team and engineering department will help you decide which product best suits your needs and communicates your brand to a new audience.

Infrared Electrical Heat Tunnel
Watershed also supplies within our range Infrared Heat Tunnels. Infrared panels combined with hot air blowers create a superior finished product than previously available. Models can be modified depending on output speed and the size and shape of the container to be sleeved.

What are the key features of our Shrink Sleeve Applicator Machines?

  All our Applicators are designed ergonomically with a small footprint. The GS range can be combined with automatic steam or electrical tunnels or alternatively integrated into fully automatic lines with cup de-nesting and collating.

  Simple and easy to use control systems. The machines are accessible and allow for efficient changeover of mandrels and servicing, which ensures minimal downtime.

Our multiple features include underlapping of sleeves, vision control, various orientations, pre-cutting of sleeves, perforations and automatic rejection systems if required.

Contract Sleeving
In addition to supplying our customers with Shrink Sleeves and Sleeve Machinery, we also provide a contract sleeving service. We can print and apply your Sleeves onto any container or bottle that you provide, or we can source the bottles for you. We apply Sleeves with our automatic Shrink Sleeve machine onto bottles/containers in-house at our Leeds production facility. The Sleeves can be applied individually or in combination with a fully body application.
